Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, together with the Science and Innovation Minister, Pedro Duque, handed the National Design and Innovation Awards 2019, granted by the Science and Innovation Ministry, last Friday 03.07.2020, in a ceremony performed in the Science Museum of Valencia. José Romo, CEO of Fhecor Ingenieros Consultores, received the Design Special Mention from HRH D. Felipe VI's hands.

These awards, created in 1987, reward the professionals that significantly contribute to increasing the Spanish design prestige and the companies and entities that incorporate design to their corporate strategy and have demonstrated that design is a powerful thrust for innovation and competitiveness.

According to the jury verdict, Fhecor was awarded “…being an excellent example of the key role of the Design in the strategic positioning and the international projection of the Spanish companies in all the sectors, including structural engineering…”

This Prize represents an unprecedented landmark, as never along the 32 years of the history of the Design Prizes, an engineering Company had been awarded in any category. For FHECOR, it is a huge acknowledgment that strengthens our philosophy of enriching integration between design and engineering.
