CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF THE ‘PAGO DE ENMEDIO’ VIADUCTS IN LA RINCONADA, SEVILLE

04/2021

Construction works of the 'Pago de Enmedio' viaducts in the Seville Northern Access are moving forward. Pile foundation works and utility relocations are almost finished.

The viaducts are actually two pairs of twin bridges, 590 m and 178 m long. The design is the result of a previous optioneering process that sought structural transparency and permeability, while at the same time considered integration in the future urban landscape and budget constraints.

The maximum span of the viaducts is 44 m. The deck is a post-tensioned box girder with its overhang slabs supported on a series of precast concrete strut elements. Deck width varies due to the presence of an interchange on and off ramps. The piers are formed by a pair of slender trapezoidal-shaped columns.

FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores delivered the alternatives study and the construction project for the Dirección General de Infraestructuras de la Junta de Andalucía. Currently, we are performing Construction Project Supervision in a JV with VS Ingenova. The construction JV is formed by OHL and UC10.
