Last month, the Government of Extremadura, Spain, awarded a new contract for the ‘Technical assessment of inspection and management of existing structures in the road network of Extremadura, Spain’. The public competition was won by the JV formed by FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores (50%) with TXT Ingeniería, S.L. (30%), and ELABOREX CALIDAD DE LA CONSTRUCCIÓN, S.L. (20%). The total budget of the works is €605,000, with an estimated duration of 24 months.
The works will include managing the data from the inventory and inspections of all the roads owned by the Extremadura government with a span longer than 6 meters. Additionally, it will incorporate the analysis, development, and implementation of management software, AURA Gestión de Puentes. This specialized application will improve the quality and efficiency in the administration and inventory-making of all the road structures in one of the vastest regions of Spain.
With this contract, FHECOR keeps growing in the field of managing existing structures after successful experiences in other territories, such as Navarre.
