Today 09.09.2022, as the culmination of the Footbridge 2022 congress that has been held in Madrid, a round table has been held dedicated to the engineer José Antonio Fernández Ordóñez, one of the most outstanding personalities of Spanish engineering and culture of the 20th century.
Beyond his outstanding career as an engineer, Fernández Ordóñez built bridges between engineering and Fine Arts, as a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and mainly as president of the board of trustees of the Prado Museum, a position he held until his death and from where he promoted the reorganization of the collections, the rehabilitation of the Villanueva building and its controversial extension.
