On 12th December last, the new viaduct of the Montevideo harbour promenade was inaugurated by the Government of Uruguay. FHECOR carried out for the CONSORTIUM SACEEM-GRINOR the "DRAWING UP OF THE EXECUTIVE PROJECT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE WORKS OF THE ACCESS VIADUCT IN THE PORT RAMBLA OF MONTEVIDEO (URUGUAY)".
The arched bridge structure is 160 metres long and is divided into 5 spans. It consists of a composite deck formed by a metal box with three cores and an upper slab of reinforced concrete. The main span has been designed as an intermediate deck arch, with a span of 90 metres between the intersection points between the arch and the deck.
