On January 26, the ceremony marking the official start of construction works for the new Buriano Bridge was held in the province of Arezzo (Italy), with the attendance of our CEO, José Romo. This new infrastructure will be a pedestrian and cycling bridge crossing the Arno River, running parallel to the historic 13th-century bridge, which it will replace for vehicular traffic. FHECOR won the international design competition and was subsequently responsible for the preparation of the detailed construction project, including the structural definition of the new bridge, improvements to the road alignment, and the new connections that will help preserve the heritage value of the historic bridge. FHECOR is currently continuing its involvement in the project as Construction Management, supporting this key intervention that combines engineering, sustainable mobility, and heritage protection. The importance of the project has received wide coverage in the Italian press
