The works initially involved preparing a design review report for the received Issue for Construction (IFC) phase, followed by the drafting of the execution project for all the building’s structures, including both steel structures and reinforced concrete structures.
The main building of this Data Center (CPD), with a floor plan of 230 x 59 meters, is divided into five independent COLOs (data storage units) and a separate administrative building, isolated from the Data Center by an expansion joint. Both the main hall and the administrative building feature a precast concrete structure with a pile foundation system and a ground floor slab that connects to the Yards (exterior slabs) housing the generator sets.
The steel structure, distributed throughout the entire construction, supports cable trays, HVAC equipment, fire protection systems, access platforms for the generator sets, and other auxiliary elements, with an approximate total of 2,000 tons of steel—partially galvanized and the remainder coated with fire-resistant paints as required by each area.
The works were carried out using BIM Methodology (Revit for concrete structures, Tekla for steel structures, and coordination in Navisworks) with a Level of Development (LOD) 350.
