The Yalquincha viaduct is a 318 m long composite box girder bridge with four spans of 70.5, 90.0, 90.0 y 67.5 m. Thje bridge is part of the Calama bypass, which is part of the Rutas del Loa PPP project.
The deck is a steel - concrete composite box girder with a total depth of 3.60 m and 12,80 m wide.
The most significant aspects of the project are the area high seismic activity, the presence of important levels of liquefiable soils and the incremental launching construction sequence.
